A semi-antique hand-knotted Malayer Sarouk wool carpet runner. The rug has a red central background populated with mirrored floral vase medallions in shades of medium blue, off white, gold, celadon green, navy blue and rose. The rug has a complex compound border with navy blue major border in a floral and foliate pattern flanked by a pair of cream guard stripes in floral motifs. The rug is banded in a pale red border and finished with cream hand-tied warp fringe to both ends.
