A vintage hand-knotted Indian Persian Nain style wool accent rug. The rug has a cream background field with a navy blue central medallion accented with floral and foliate motifs in salmon, off white, olive green and blue. The medallion is bordered in cream, with salmon and navy corner spandrels. The rug has a complex compound border with a major border in medium blue with diamond motifs, flanked by salmon guard stripes in a meander pattern. The rug has off white warp hand-tied warp fringe to both ends. The rug retains the original cloth tag to the verso.
