A large hand-knotted wool Heriz area rug featuring a large star pendant medallion in the center in a palette of teal green, blues, orange and cream. The field is densely populated with animal figures, flowers and geometric designs. The spandrels are a bright blue with birds and geometric designs. The borders have complementing geometric and floral spray designs and the rug is finished with overcast edges and long light gray goat hair wool fringe. Unmarked.
