Item Details

An antique hand-knotted Malayer Sarouk wool accent rug. The rug has a pale coral red central field populated with stylized geometric forms with foliate and palette motifs in shades of cream, tomato red, pale blue and medium blue. The rug has a complex compound border with a major Carnation Meander border in tomato red with guard stripes in the Running Water Border in medium blue. The rug has off white warp fringe to both ends and retains the cloth tag to the verso.
