A sumi-e painting of a horse by Contemporary Chinese artist Tsun Ming Chmielinski. This works depicts a horse rendered with calligraphic brushstrokes. This work is signed to the lower right with a red seal. An informative label are present to the upper right corners of the compositions. This work is presented in a white mat in a plastic sleeve.
Tsun Ming Chmielinski is a Chinese artist raised in Hong Kong. Chmielinski moved to the United States in the 1970s and has a BA from the University of Massachusetts and an Master’s degrees in business from Bentley University and Emerson College. She received art training at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Massachusetts College of Art where she studied drawing and painting. Ming currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts. Her work holds influences from Chinese culture, particularly Sumi-e ink wash painting, as well as Western subjects including portraits and still life.
