A semi-antique hand-knotted northwestern Persian tribal accent rug. The rug has a tomato red central field featuring three diamond-shaped guls in shades of navy blue, apricot and medium blue, with stylized flower borders. The guls are flanked to each side with two flowering branches. The rug has a complex compound border with a navy blue major border in the Flower Box Pattern and flanking guard stripes in dark cream in the Carnation Meander Border. The rug has off white warp fringe to both ends and retains the original cloth tag to the verso.
