A hand-colored etching on paper titled Les Bouleaux (‘The Birches’) by an artist signing the work ‘Martin.’ This delicate rendering depicts a line of spindly trees alongside a marshy pond with a small boat partially obscured toward its center. The print is marked with a Paris Etching Society stamp, reading ‘SLZ’, to its lower right corner, and is titled and signed in pencil to its lower margin. It is presented under glass and a French mat in a gold tone frame, a hanging wire and Paris Etching Society label present to its verso.

Condition

- heavy foxing to print; blemishes to glass; light wear to frame finish; torn paper backing.
