Two Japanese Gouache Paintings of Waterfowl Mounted to Silk Brocade
Item Details
A pair of Japanese gouache paintings on silk mounted to decorative scrolls. The two-piece work depicts three brown swan geese set against a misty landscape with a blue pond, white sun, distant trees and grey leafy vegetation. Each piece is signed to the lower margin, and stamped with a red artist’s seal below. The paintings are mounted to matching floral-patterned taupe and blue silk brocade backings stamped ‘Made in Japan’ to the verso.
