A pair of 19th-century gouache folk art portraits on paper. These works feature full-body portraits of two girls wearing matching black dresses. The blonde girl holds a rose while the brunette girl holds an open book. Each work presents a handwritten label that reads ’Christie’s, London/1935’ indicating that they were sold at Christie’s-London in 1935. Presented behind glass, housed in oval golden tone frames.
