Two Japanese Gouache on Silk Scroll Paintings of Birds and Cranes
Item Details
A pair of Japanese gouache paintings on silk scrolls. Each painting depicts cranes lounging at the bottom of a blossoming tree with smaller birds perched in the branches. They are each mounted on silk brocade scrolls with a floral motif and signed with black ink and a red seal to the lower corners. There is a stamp in verso that reads ‘made in Japan’.
Condition
- there is a crease near bottom of one painting where is was folded; otherwise they are curled from being rolled up in a tube; do not include dowels or hanging hardware.

20.25" W x 51.0" H x 0.25" D
- measures one painting, both are same size.
