A collection of Japanese porcelain tableware in two sets. Includes a set of Meito china with hand painted gold verge featuring four teacups, one creamer, one lidded sugar, one lidded teapot, five bread and butter plates, and seven salad plates. The undersides are marked ‘Meito China Hand Painted Made in Japan’. Also included is a set of china with a hand painted floral motif against a luminescent white background with black trim and a pale yellow border. Featured are three bread and butter plates, four salad plates, one shallow serving bowl, a footed creamer, a footed sugar with lid, and four teacups. Marked ‘Made in Japan’ to the undersides.
Condition
— significant residue and wear to floral creamer and sugar; markings throughout; one plate is damaged.
