An oil painting on board of a mountainous landscape by Newton. Signed by hand to the lower left, this painting depicts a lake sitting at the base of a mountain range lined with trees and boulders. The painting is presented in a gold tone and brown wood frame with carved linear details. A wire is present to the verso for hanging purposes.
Condition
- puncture marks, holes in the top and bottom of the image; scratches prevalent throughout the image; wood frame showing scratches and nicks around the frame; torn paper backing; corners of the frame are separating.
