An antique reproduction print on paper titled Der Kleine Näscher after listed German artist Hanno Rhomberg (1820 – 1869), engraved by A. Schultheiss, and published by H. Schoenlein. This monochrome genre scene depicts a young child caught sneaking food from the cupboard by his mother and sister. The piece is inscribed in plate with the name of the artist, engraver, and the title to the lower margin. It is presented behind glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- buckling to paper, especially to upper right; mat burn, discoloration and foxing to print; scuffing, wear, nicks and scratches to frame; chips and damage to frame backing.
