An oil painting on canvas of a floral still life, created in the early 20th-century. The work depicts a collection of white irises in an indigenous Mesoamerican-style vase with pink roses. To the lower right corner, a signature reading a name and possibly ‘1917’ has been painted over with the signature ‘A.D.M. Cooper 1916’. Housed in a gold-tone wood frame.
Condition
- minor scuffing to the frame; craquelure; slight loss of tension in canvas; under UV light, there are large areas of over painting, including the signature, and numerous small areas in the roses.
