Item Details
A 19th century photograph of a family. This sepia tone photograph depicts men and women adorned in dark, period appropriate suits and dresses clustered together in formation. They inquisitively stare to the center and off-center. To the lower right corner of the composition is an artist signature appearing to read ‘King’, with a listed date of 1897. The photograph is presented under glass beneath matting in a gold tone wooden frame featuring moulded scallop motifs and hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- frame is dirty and shows wear to edges; toning to mat, spot of discoloration to mat at lower left corner; smudges and scuffs throughout frame.
