1992 MFA "The Lure of Italy" Exhibition Poster After Maurice Prendergast
Item Details
A 1992 Museum of Fine Arts poster on paper featuring an offset lithograph after a painting by listed American artist Maurice Brazil Prendergast (1858 – 1924). The piece depicts a turn-of-the-century Venice cityscape with pedestrians lining a canal. It is signed in plate to the lower center, with text below of ‘The Lure of Italy, American Artists and the Italian Experience 1760 – 1914, The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, September 16 – December 13, 1992’. It is matted in white and presented under acrylic glass in a black wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
