French Empire Style Baccarat Crystal and Gilt Bronze Chandelier

Item Details

An antique bronze and Baccarat crystal French Empire style basket chandelier. This formal piece has a bronze corona with foliate details and rope like draping from which swags of faceted circular prisms tie into a lower frame of similar detail. Eight arms extend from the lower frame with foliate and fruit bobeches and ruffles bows to each. Inner graduated tiers are adorned with similar hanging swags and cascades of prisms with swags of rope like draping between each arm. The chandelier uses candelabra size bulbs. Unmarked.
