Vintage Berkey & Gay Dining Table and Chairs
Item Details
A vintage wood dining table with a set of six chairs, dating to the first half of the twentieth century. The table is rectangular, and made of wood with wood veneers, finished in a cherry colored stain. The table has fluted finial motifs on the four corners, and it rests on two carved pedestal pillars, each with three curved, fluted legs. The table comes with three extension leaves, and a set of six matching dining chairs. The set of chairs includes one armchair and five side chairs. The chairs have vase shaped backs, resting on straight, fluted legs with peg feet and stretchers. The seats of the chairs are padded and upholstered in a blue and white lattice patterned fabric. The chairs and table are marked ‘Berkey & Gay Furniture’. Some of the chairs are also marked with an embossed number 2547.

A moving charge will be incurred by winning bidders for any items not picked up. If winning bidder chooses to not have the item moved for alternate pick-up, the winning bidder will incur a disposal fee to have the item removed.

- table has a large, circular ring mark, and a large rectangular water stain in the center; some surface marks, light scratches and small marks and dings; edge wear throughout
- chairs have some white marks, scuffs and wear to wood finish throughout
- one chair stretcher has black electrical tape wrapped around the joints; may have hidden damage
- upholstery on chair seats shows wear throughout; some small holes
