An antique gilded bronze and Baccarat crystal French Empire style basket chandelier. This formal piece has a bronze corona with pierced foliate and drapping details from which swags of faceted circular prisms tie into a lower frame of similar detail. Six arms extend from the lower frame with torch like bobeches adorned with frosted glass to resemble flames. Fruit like vines swag between the lower frame ending in a foliate finial. The chandelier uses candelabra size bulbs and is very heavy.
