Renaissance Revival Oval Marble Top Coffee Table

A Renaissance Revival oval marble top coffee table. This 19th century incise carved Renaissance Revival mahogany coffee table, started out as a taller parlour table but was at some point in time skillfully reduced in height to make a coffee table. The oval bevelled edge marble top rests on an apron with figured veneered and an applied molding at the base, the apron is attached to an X form base of scrolling legs ending in C scroll feet on castors. Unmarked.
