Demir Oil Painting on Board
Item Details
An original painting on board signed Demir. This scene depicts a view of a Baltic city and ruins from a nearby river. A small sailboat drifts past the foreground. The work is signed in the lower right ‘Demir’. It is presented in a finished wood frame with burl veneer and a carved rope motif around the outer edge. A hand written inscription in Cyrillic on the verso appears to attribute the town to Melenci, Serbia.
