19th Century Padley, Parkin & Staniforth Silver Plate and Glass Condiment Caddy

A mid-19th century Victorian silver plate condiment caddy by Padley, Parkin & Staniforth of Sheffield, England (active 1846-1875). The caddy itself features a four leaf clover shape with four round holders, a beaded handle, and ball feet. It houses one glass jam jar with a hinged silver plate lid, one glass shaker with a pierced silver plate lid, and two unique glass cruets with stoppers. The silver-plated components and three of the glass pieces are decorated with an engraved Greek key trim. The underside is marked ‘1521’ and ‘H’ with the Padley, Parkin & Staniforth maker’s mark as well as the ‘palm of hand’ trademark obtained from J. Watson & Son in 1849. Also included is a carved bone spreader with a silver plate handle.
