Chinese Chest with Intricate Dragon Motif

Item Details

An ornate Chinese wooden chest. Each of the sides features an applied metal plaque of intricate chased design a depicting a long dragon surrounded by abstracted clouds, in shallow relief. It closes with a round brass plaque, and no discernible maker’s mark could be found.

Condition

- some minor surface wear including markings, scratching, some discoloration and some surface residue.
