A mid-century watercolor and gouache painting on paper by artist Doris Stovell. The piece depicts a rustic cottage set amid a yellow, purple and green scrubland landscape, set against grey skies and distant mountains. The work is signed in purple paint to the lower right. It is matted in off-white and presented under glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire mounted to the verso. The frame backing includes a mid-century framer’s sticker from Carl Graham Paint & Wallpaper Co. of Wichita, Kansas.

- to Fair; discoloration to paper and matting with age, with stains scattered to mat; scratches, edge wear, scuffing and accretion to frame with faint markings to glass; small tears to frame’s backing paper, with moisture damage to top edge.
