A model 1852 U.S. Naval presentation sword with a leather and brass scabbard manufactured by Max Oberhard, of Solingen Germany. This sword features a brass pommel cap, decorated with an eagle, a brass guard that forms from a sea serpent and is decorated with an oak leaf cluster and USN banner and a grip with twisted wire accent .The steel blade is etched with “Barry A. Goodman”, an anchor, a shield, torch and USN banner. The blade is also marked ‘Max Oberhard Superfine Stainless’ and ‘Made in Solingen Germany.’ Includes a black leather carrying case handle.

Condition

- There is moderate wear to the wrapped grip. There is wear to the interior of the carrying case and it does not close properly.
