A Chinese lacquered coffee table chest with chinoiserie painted decoration to the top and sides, the top depicting figures on a temple portico. The top is hinged, having a two brass latches and double-bail handles to either end. Resting on a rectangular stand with scalloped apron, shaped legs, perimeter stretcher and chinoiserie decoration. Mid 20th century.
