Howard Miller "Gavin" Grandfather Clock
Item Details
A Howard Miller Gavin grandfather clock. The case is finished in Yorkshire oak and it features an arched bonnet pediment with decorative vine and shell motif. The polished brass face has decorative spandrels, a silver chapter ring with Arabic numerals. The area above the face shows the phases of the moon. There are reeded pilasters with turned details on each side of the door. The back of the interior of the case is lined with mirrored glass while the side panels are made of transparent glass. The works feature a German-made Keininger Westminster chime movement which plays quarter, half, and three-quarter chimes as well as a full strike and chime on the hour. The cabinet is illuminated and it comes with levelers which may aid in installation. Untested.
