A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This rug is hand-knotted in a palette of vivid red, sky blue, orange, black, ivory , ocher , and green. It features a pointed medallion on a red field patterned with curvilinear floriate vines. It has a simplified herati pattern main border with running water guard borders. Fringe has been applied to either end and it is marked to the reverse ‘Made in Iran’.
