A hand-knotted Baluch carpet runner. This wool rug features a vertical row of diamond medallions framed in a memling lattice of crimson over a midnight blue field. The palette is midnight blue, crimson, burgundy, and camel. Enclosing the field is a main border featuring a scrolling pattern over midnight blue. Selvedges are double overcast, the rug finishing at each end with striped kilim skirts and short gray warp fringe made of goat and camel hair. It is unlabeled.
