Early 20th Century Sessions Clock Company Advertising Regulator Number 2 Clock
Item Details
An early 20th Sessions Clock Co., advertising regulator wall clock number 2 with spring driven brass movements. The clock is a marketing piece once used in General Stores to promote Calumet Baking Powder. The oak case has a cognac finish and the bonnet is detailed with classic ogee edge wood molding. The base of the clock has bracketed wood apron. The metal dial is painted with Roman numerals and it also has a thirty-one day numbered calendar along the outer ring of the face marked by the red arm with the moon. Fancy black hands and the face is marked, ‘Made by The Sessions Clock, Co., Forestville, Conn., USA’. The hinged wood frame door has a glass insert which is painted with the slogan, ‘Calumet baking Powder Time to Buy Best by Test’. Key and Pendulum are present. The back of the clock is unfinished and has a label with directions on how to set the clock.
