Item Details
A machine-woven tapestry panel. This jacquard weaving depicts a group of ornately dressed women in a European imagining of a Middle-Eastern setting, being waited on by male servants. They are lounging on rocks amidst jewelry and other treasures, including incense burners and urns. It is unsigned and presented behind glass in a gold tone wood frame.
Condition
- discoloration to textile; some snags to fabric; threads pulled unevenly along lower edge; pitting and nicks to glass; nicks and wear to frame; tears to backing paper.
