A Chinese carved serpentine rhinoceros figurine. This figurine of a standing rhinoceros is fashioned from light green serpentine with black inclusions. The figurine is presented with a carved wooden base with two small posts that fit into holes on the underside of the figurine. The underside of the rhinoceros is marked.
