A hand-knotted fine Afghani-Caucasian Kazak rug. This wool accent rug features a hooked central cruciformed diamond medallion with interspersed mirrored forms to either side, in rose, cream, and indigo on a rose hued field populated with crab forms in cream. Minor flower borders in rose and cream on a sage ground flank the principal border of flowers and cruciforms on a cream ground. Double cast selvedge edges and short wool fringe complete this finely knotted rug.
