Antique Eastlake Style Sideboard

An antique Eastlake style sideboard. This antique sideboard is of hardwood construction with a dark mahogany finish. The sideboard features a curvilinear pediment and the case top is highlighted with a graduated beveled edge. There are two large cabinet areas on either side of the piece accessible through doors boasting antiqued brass pulls that have an acanthus leaf and the pulls are surrounded by a stylized braided design. The center piece boasts a complimentary applique and the base of the case is embellished with a band of carved beading and a curvilinear pierced skirt featuring a round medallion and applied reeded ogee curves. The case sits on turned legs highlighted by a large fluted turning and sits on bun feet with an H stretcher that mirrors the curvilinear skirt.
