Item Details

An antique carved wood and brass Chinese guardian lion lamp base. The footed base features a carved and painted wooden male (yang) guardian lion with paw resting on the ‘embroidered ball’ in red paint and gilt finish. It has a turned and cast brass center support with mystical beast masks and rings with golden thread tassel embellishments. No visible maker’s marks are present.
