1972 Olympic/B.C. Cartoon Placemats

A set of placemats from 1972 using Johnny Hart’s comics B.C. to help promote the 1972 Olympics. There are eight placemats, two sided – one side depicts an image of a past Olympic, the other side has a character from the B.C. comic strip acting out a sport or carrying the Olympic torch. The Olympics represented are from 1928, Amsterdam; 1932, Los Angeles; 1948 London; 1952 Helsinki; 1956 Melbourne; 1964 Tokyo; 1968 Mexico and 1972 Munchen. The placemats are mini posters that have been laminated; produced by Antik Print Amsterdam.
