A collection of five unframed drawings in various media including pencil, gouache ink and ink wash by listed Tennessee artist Werner Wildner (1925 – 2004). Featured is a sketch of Wildner’s painting Primevera. Also included are a black ink drawing of a pencil in a holster trimmed with holly and inscribed ‘Merry Christmas W.’, an ink wash portrait of a man, a pencil portrait of a nude woman with a bouffant hair style holding a rose, a gouache drawing of a troll-like figure with a peg leg and and ink wash drawing of a man in a peaked hat. Three of the drawings are signed ‘W’ and the other two are unsigned.
Condition
- to fair, condition varies; discoloration and minor wear to edges; pencil drawing has tears at the edges, smudges and darkened tape on corners and sides.
