Chinese Tung King Shun Yixing Pottery and Paktong Tea Service
Item Details
A vintage exported Yixing ware tea service from the Tang King Shun factory. This tea service includes one tea kettle, one covered sugar bowl, and one covered creamer. Each item is footed and made of charcoal gray clay with an openwork nickel silver (or paktong) overlay depicting a Chinese Dragon. The undersides are impressed ‘Tung King Shun Factory, Weihaiwei’.
Condition
- surface wear including scratches and some discoloration throughout; one of the sugar bowl handles appears to have been broken and re-attached; the teapot is missing its finial.
