Vintage Stoneware Crocks with Flat Iron & Stand

Item Details

A group of vintage stoneware crock items with flat iron and stand. Group includes a large stoneware bowl with a relief graphic design to the outside of the bowl and rim, a two-tone crock pitcher with a black-brown upper body including the handle and stone colored lower body, and a large two-tone drum crock with dark brown color to the upper third of the crock and stone color to the lower portion. Also included is a contemporary ceramic two-tone crock style container labeled ‘Kitchen Utensils’ with a brown upper rim on a stone color body. The antique flat or sad (from an old English word meaning solid) irons is heavy cast iron, with the iron having a carved wood handle, unmarked.

The other iron is marked with the maker’s mark and the number 6 which indicates it weighs 6 pounds.

Condition

- conditions consistent with age and use having markings, cracks, and chips present for an authentic aged patina. Flat iron has surface rust present. Large crock has a repaired break as shown.
