An original oil painting on canvas by well-listed German artist Helmut Reuter (1913 – 1985). This seascape details sailboats drifting on rugged waters with waves and clouds executed in impasto. The piece is signed to the lower right and the frame has a metal nameplate to the lower center. The painting is presented in a carved wooden frame with a black and gilt finish. A brief biography of the artist is attached to the verso.
