Vintage American Spongeware Bowls and Creamer

Item Details

A selection of vintage American spongeware bowls and a creamer. Each is decorated with a pale mustard glaze, accented with an allover blue sponge motif. One bowl has a scalloped edge with gilt trim. The pieces bear no discernible maker’s marks, consistent with pieces made between 1900 -1930.

Condition

- crazing throughout, small to large cracks, discoloration and fading throughout.

- measured largest bowl (has undulating design in rim instead of flat edge)
