A vintage Caro Nan Paris-Rome woven basket purse. The purse is a woven wicker basket with a brown finish that displays a Paris-Rome travel theme with hand painted images. The purse is described by most as fun and happy with hand painted scene of shops and sights on the basket with names of sights and travel slogans across the top band. Other features of the bag include a center wood handle and wood lid with decoupage and the famous penny on the top that dates the bag. The bag has a white cloth lining to the interior with red and blue decorative circles and black felt to the underside. The bag is by Caro Nan and is dated 1972.
