Vintage Industrial Style Yarn Winder

Item Details

A circa early 20th century vintage industrial style hand-cranked yarn or skien winder in metal. Vertical rods to one side would hold spools of yarn, with the string then being stretched over the rotating arms. It was able to be turned at the time of cataloging. By Brown & Sharpe of Providence, RI, marked to the base.

Condition

- cosmetic wear due to age; one broken support piece to one of the arms, but doesn’t impede function.
