Vintage Copeland Spode "Buttercup" Tableware
Item Details
A fifty-seven piece collection of vintage Spode tableware in the Buttercup pattern. Each earthenware body is molded with a scalloped rim and raised basketweave motif. They are decorated with a central bouquet and sprays of yellow buttercups and blue wildflowers, finished with bands of brown geometric trim. Included in this group are nine dinner plates, eleven dessert plates, one bread plate, eighteen assorted saucers, eight cream soup bowls, and eight assorted cups. Each bears a brown underglaze stamp to the verso indicating a production date between 1924-1970.
Condition
- crack to one teacup; discoloration and crazing throughout; minor marks and faint scratches consistent with gentle use.
