A vintage hand-knotted Persian Qazvin Sarouk area rug. This wool rug presents a central medallion with a floral spray of pendants in a palette of slate, reds, blue, sage and ecru on a red lozenge. Compound spandrels in blue, ecru and pink feature acanthus leaves and floral sprays throughout. Minor meandering daisy borders flank the principal herati border on an indigo ground. This rug is has a tag attached to the reverse which reads ‘Made In Iran Hand Woven Carpet & Rugs’.
