Resoulli Signed Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Kerman Area Rug

A Beraderan Resoulli signed vintage hand-knotted Persian Kerman area rug. Comprised of wool, this large area rug presents a compound floral medallion with floral pendants in pinks, indigo, sage, ecru, slate, beige and burgundy on an arabesaque burgundy field. Compound spandrels of flower and vase motifs on an indigo ground flank the broken minor borders of acanthus leaves surrounding the principal flower and vase filled border on an indigo ground. Naves, cruciforms, flowers and leaves fill the broken borders throughout. The rug is signed by weaver Beraderan Resoulli to the guard border. A tag which reads ‘Made In Iran Hand Woven Carpet & Rugs’ is attached to the verso.
