A hand-colored lithograph on paper of an engraving by Charles G. Lewis (1808 – 1880) after the original painting by F. Grant titled The Melton Breakfast. This print depicts a room filled with men relaxing after a hunt. The title is present to the lower margin along with the names of those depicted, the names of the artist, and publication information reading ‘London Published Oct 1 1839 by Hodgson & Graves Her Majestys Printsellers & Pall Mall’. Mounted under a single layer of french matting, the print is under glass in a gold tone wood frame with an wire present to the verso for hanging purposes.

Condition

- image paper and matte are discolored; nicks and scratches to the frame.
