1862 Second Lieutenant's Commission
Item Details
An 1862 Second Lieutenant’s commission. This proclamation entitles the rank of Second Lieutenant to O. G. Husband in the Corps of Cadets of the East Florida Seminary, and is signed by three officers on May 26, 1862. East Florida Seminary operated in Gainesville, Florida, from 1853 until 1905, when its Corps of Cadets was absorbed into the University of Florida’s ROTC program.
