Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, indigo, sky blue, ivory, and gold. Beginning the cranberry field is a central pendant medallion along with scrolling floral vinework, and ornate sky blue spandrels. Framing the field is a main herati patterned border with alternating boteh and blossom, and Hamadan style guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and an extremely short natural warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
