Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Qashqai Yalameh accent rug. This wool and camel hair rug features a central medallion in carmine, dusty rose, teal and ecru on a stepped, carmine hued field full of pictorial imagery. The mirrored stepped sections feature flowers on stems, as well as floral figures on a deep indigo ground. Flanking the central portion are wide bands of repeating forms with geometrical shapes surrounding a lattice pattern. Guard borders in salmon and green lead to an unresolved major border of repeating pictorials on an ecru ground. Overcast selvedge and a short natural fringe complete the rug. This accent rug is unmarked.
